Mapping cookies to WordPress plugins

May 16, 2012 by vsgloik

The purpose of this site is to catalog:

  1. cookies that you may come across when visiting a WordPress site, categorising them according to the ICC UK cookie guide suggestions
  2. the?WordPress plugins that use cookies or 3rd party cookies
  3. the mapping between the plugin and cookies
  4. and then produce the raw data (XML file) of this mapping

The cookie-cat plugin uses the XML file in conjunction with the list of active plugins to dynamically generate a table of cookies.

In order to do this we need the help of plugin (and theme?) developers, WordPress users and anyone else who is knowledgeable about cookies. Please tell us about the cookies your plugin / theme uses.

BUT?this site is currently under development

  • … the UI is not complete
  • … there isn’t even an active Contact form (doh!)
  • so in the mean time please Email: herb@bobbingwide.com or call Herb Miller on
    Tel: 02392 410090
  • I’ll log the details on my local system (which is working) and import the results when done.
